GRIAA Italian Open
The Greater Rockford Italian American Association held its annual Italian Open Golf Outing on August 15th, 2022, at Forest Hills Country Club in a new format. The Men’s and Women’s competition was combined to take place on the same day. Don DiGiovanni and Pam Saladino, directors of the Men’s and Women’s Opens, respectfully reported that the event was a success and helped to raise funds for scholarships.
GRIAA is a non-profit organization staffed solely by volunteers and promotes Italian Culture through social events, works of charity, and educational activities throughout the community. Our main purpose is to provide scholarships for grades K-12 to local Italian American families in parochial schools.
